Green Light Law Group is pleased to announce that Kevin Jacoby has become a partner in the firm effective January 1, 2022. We are honored to have made this elevation. Here are a few reasons why Kevin has earned the title of partner at Green Light Law Group.
Kevin has been litigating administrative cases against Oregon agencies and institutions such as the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (“OLCC”), the Oregon Department of Agriculture, the Oregon Department of Forestry, and the Driver and Motor Vehicles Division of the Oregon Department of Transportation since the beginning of his career. His passion for the cannabis industry is unparalleled, and he is driven to become the leading administrative litigator in Oregon cannabis. We are continually amazed by his ability to transform his deep connection to justice into consistent successes on behalf of GLLG’s clients.
Prior to becoming a cannabis lawyer, a large portion of Kevin’s practice was devoted to various aspects of agricultural law, assisting farmers and other agricultural businesses with myriad regulatory aspects unique to agriculture. In 2017, Kevin served as lead counsel on the first recreational marijuana administrative contested case in Oregon, and has been litigating contested case proceedings and other administrative matters ever since. His strategic approach to administrative cases is informed by his extensive appellate experience. His wealth of litigation and regulatory knowledge is not only a valuable resource for the firm’s clients; Kevin also frequently lends his regulatory expertise to the firm’s other practice groups.
Kevin uses his skills and experience as an attorney as an opportunity for activism as well as advocacy. He is the leading opinion-editorial writer in the GLLG blog stream, steadily defending the rights of our clients and advocating for the industry as a whole.
“Holding powerful people accountable for trampling over the rights of smaller actors is always what I've done.” - Kevin Jacoby
We at GLLG are excited for Kevin to expand his role within the firm to provide guidance and direction to the next generation of litigators and industry advocates. We can’t wait to see what more he will accomplish.
