Perry co-founded Green Light Law Group in 2015. He is a corporate and environmental attorney with two decades of experience providing strategic and compliance guidance as well as legal advice to public and private entities. Perry has served as both outside and in-house counsel to a variety of companies, investors, and government agencies throughout the United States, and has helped successfully launch several marijuana companies, brands, and projects. Perry’s years working on business processes, SEC, and environmental compliance, make him uniquely qualified in the emerging cannabis space where navigating compliance with complex regulatory implementation is a major barrier to entry and ultimate success.
Perry is also an expert in business and environmental sustainability matters, having written extensively on land-use and conservation issues as they relate to project design, siting, and development.
Perry received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, Tennessee and an LL.M. in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. His legal career began in 2002 with the Corporate Securities and Transactions Group at Sidley Austin LLP in Washington, DC. Perry moved to Oregon in 2005.
